Silver Springs Shores Presbyterian Church serves the community in many and various ways. We host our SEED Child Care ministry, a senior dining site, the Boys and Girls Club afterschool program, the SHINE program, a weekly table tennis program, our Thrift Store, scouts, and many community meetings. Our food pantry distributes food twice a week and we provide emergency assistance for utilities as funds are available. We provide practice space for the Lake Weir High School Boys Basketball team and host the AP and IB testing each spring.
Solar Energy Fund: The church is investing in solar panels. The first of 3 projects is underway at a cost of $98,100 to generate about almost 60,000 KwH per year. This project is partially funded through a New Creation Loan from the Presbyterian Investment and Loan Program.
SEED Scholarship Fund serves families in our community that need childcare but cannot afford the full tuition and do not qualify for government assistance. We provide a state-licensed (C05MA0045), education-oriented child care ministry in a Christian environment where Bible Stories are shared.
